We are hiring a Production Manager for our leading client based in Westmeath.

The Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of the food manufacturing process. This role involves ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities:

Production Management:

Planning and scheduling production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.

Coordinate with different departments (e.g., Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to ensure smooth operations.

Quality Control:

Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with industry regulations.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.

Implement corrective actions to address quality issues.

Team Leadership:

Manage and support production staff, providing training and development as needed.

Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.

Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance productivity.

Track and analyze production data to make informed decisions.

Inventory and Resource Management

Safety & Compliance

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.

Experience with manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in production management software and tools.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of health, safety, and food industry regulations.
