Our client is currently hiring for an Accounts Assistant based in Roscommon. The successful candidate should have experience working in a busy accounts department.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Matching POs to all Suppliers Invoices where appropriate.
  • Entering Suppliers Invoices to Accounts Systems.
  • Provide support to the Finance Dept as required.
  • Responsibility for accounting & analysis of certain costs/ P&L items.
  • Reconciling Supplier Statements on a month end basis.
  • Involvement in month end process and balancing of Supplier, preparing, and reviewing aged creditors listing, balance sheet recs and ensuring all costs are accrued
  • Supporting the accounts receivable function as required
  • Dealing with account queries as they arise.
  • Dealing with incoming telephone calls and redirecting as appropriate
  • Ensure all accounting deadlines are met and that all reports are complete and accurate.

Key Experience and Skills required:

  • Previous accounts experience & qualifications in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office & accounting systems skills would be an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-moving environment
  • Driven and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good communication skills written and verbal and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience working in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Enthusiastic and teamwork focused
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A structured and organised person
