We are currently hiring Toolmakers for work based in Sligo.
*General Duties:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of injection molds/tools and tool repairs
  • Supporting Production and Engineering teams by assisting with and overseeing tool changeovers, set ups, debugs and optimizations, on production and NPI programs.
  • Responsible for jigs and fixtures design, manufacture, and maintenance, inc End of Arm fixturing
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production teams in fault finding, troubleshooting problems, and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintains safe work environment with the moulding and tooling department.
  • Leads the development and execution of experimentation and testing to enable characterization, optimization and troubleshooting of key processes and equipment.
  • Completes or leads the writing and release of process validation documentation including FMEA’s, Validation Plans, protocols and reports.
  • Co-ordinates execution and documentation of validation builds, co-ordinates testing of validation units and the compilation, analysis and reporting of the validation results.
  • Provide strong technical support on process/product technologies to support production.
  • Work with suppliers, toolmakers and providers to support on as needs basis
  • Support tool and spares storage, control and related activities
  • Support teams on customer related queries respect to change, improvements on existing or new programs
  • Support documentation requirements respect to areas inclusive maintenance, training, amongst others.
  • Demonstrates a primary commitment to H&S and product quality within the manufacturing environment.
  • Any other duties as required.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Toolmaking qualification
  • Previous experience in an injection mold making / mold maintenance environment.
  • Good knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, sparking, and fitting.
  • Good knowledge of mold maintenance and experience of supporting a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of the injection moulding process
  • Good experience of jigs & fixtures design and build
  • 8 – 4:30 Monday to Friday.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant environment required*
