Health & Safety Advisor

Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor based in Galway.

Job Description

  • Provide support and advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.
  • Proper reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses in an accurate and timely fashion and assist with investigations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments as required and ensure that management personnel put appropriate action plans in place.
  • Conduct regular reviews on corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and audits.
  • Ensure HSE policies and procedures are fully implemented and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Assist with the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that HSE lessons learnt and other initiatives are properly communicated.
  • Provide a proactive approach to problem solving and to the various aspects of day-to-day health, safety and environmental management.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate should have 3rd level qualifications in health & safety and at least 3 years experience in a similar role, gained in construction with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK. 
  • They should possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation and an ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management.
  • They should be self-motivated, show excellent initiative, be able to quickly resolve issues and be able to integrate well into a project team, while possessing the level of independent that this role required.

Salary: €40000-€45000 per year

CNC Operator

Our client is currently recruiting a CNC Operator for their company based in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Minimum of 2 Years experience operating CNC’s in the Kitchen manufacturing trade.
  • Ability to read cad drawings essential
  • Strong attention to detail and conscientious/thorough approach to assigned tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of computers
  • Experience using Magi-cut , Woodwop or Biessie Works ideal but not essential
  • Programming CNC machinery by entering instructions, including zero references positions.

Civils Project Manager

Our client is currently recruiting Civils Project Manager for their project based in Cork City. The project will begin in January 2022. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with a minimum of 2 years work.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters
  • Ensure correct and accurate setting out methods and techniques are implemented.
  • Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works. Formally request any missing information in sufficient time to allow the programme to proceed without delay.
  • Complete Quality checks in line with company and project procedures
  • Communicate with foremen and supervisors to ensure full understanding of information provided.
  • Support the team with written risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works.
  • Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes/variations, subcontractors attendance, and records of work related discussions with client / designer / project team.
  • Ensure effective & appropriate communication with the commercial team regarding all issues with a contractual/commercial implication

Requirements

  • 5 + Years proven experience on civil engineering projects
  • Ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
  • Proven experience/training with all the latest surveying/CAD techniques
  • Ability to use setting out equipment including total station and reading of drawings and specification documents.
  • Ability and confidence to communicate and present to management, clients and public.
  • Ability and confidence to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.
  • Knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.

Salary €70000 – €80000 per year
